Prediction Account Rules Guide
This guide provides a general overview of how Halcyon Prediction Accounts operate, including how account balances work, how predictions are executed, how fees are applied, and how performance is measured.
Please Note: This guide is intended as a summary only. For a complete list of rules, policies, and account requirements, please refer to the User Agreement provided at the time of purchase.
1. Account Balance Structure
Each Prediction Account has two balance types:
Total Equity
Total Equity represents the total value of your account, including:
- Settled predictions
- Unrealized profit or loss from open predictions
Your Total Equity is updated after a prediction settles and all applicable fees have been applied.
Available Equity (free funds)
Available Equity is the amount you currently have available to place new predictions.
When you place a prediction:
- Your prediction stake is immediately deducted from Available Equity.
- The prediction remains active until it settles.
When the prediction settles:
- Any profit or loss is applied to your Total Equity.
- Your Available Equity is updated accordingly.
Because of this, your Available Equity and Total Equity may be different while predictions are active.
2. Placing Predictions
Before placing a prediction:
- You must have enough Available Equity.
- The prediction must comply with all platform risk rules.
Once a prediction is submitted:
- The stake is immediately locked from your Available Equity.
- The prediction remains active until it settles or you close the position, if permitted by the market.
All predictions are final once submitted. Predictions cannot be modified or canceled while waiting to be filled.
Liquidity Warning
It is your responsibility to ensure there is enough market liquidity before placing a prediction. Before entering a position, make sure there is enough liquidity to both enter and exit the market under current conditions. If a prediction cannot be executed because of insufficient liquidity, this is not considered a platform issue. Please do not submit a support ticket for liquidity-related execution failures.
Halcyon cannot manually close, modify, or intervene in active predictions. All predictions must settle through the normal operation of the market.
3. Prediction Fees
Every prediction is subject to platform fees.
- Fees are applied to each prediction.
- Fees are deducted according to platform rules before final settlement.
- Your final profit or loss is calculated after all applicable fees have been applied.
4. Risk & Prediction Rules
The following rules apply to every Prediction Account:
- Maximum prediction size: $400
- Minimum prediction size: $50
- All predictions must remain within platform risk limits.
- Maximum profit on any single prediction is capped at 2× your original stake.
Example:
If you place a $300 prediction and the market shows a potential $500 profit, your account is only eligible to receive a maximum of $300 in profit before applicable fees.
All applicable fees are deducted before your final profit or loss is credited to your account.
Violating any platform risk rule may result in:
- Prediction adjustments
- Voided predictions
- Account restrictions
- Account closure for repeated or abusive behavior
Please refer to the User Agreement for complete details.
5. Qualifying Winning Days
What is a Qualifying Winning Day?
A Qualifying Winning Day is earned when at least one individual prediction placed during a single calendar day produces a net profit of at least $100 after all applicable fees.
Only one Qualifying Winning Day may be earned per calendar day, regardless of how many winning predictions are made that day.
Rules:
- Only one Qualifying Winning Day can be earned per calendar day.
- Multiple winning predictions on the same day do not increase your count.
- Five Qualifying Winning Days are required to satisfy the account qualification requirement.
6. System Integrity Rules
All Prediction Accounts must comply with:
- Platform Risk Rules
- Prediction Account Agreement
- Platform execution and settlement rules
- Any future policy updates published by Halcyon
Failure to comply may result in:
- Prediction adjustments
- Voided executions
- Cycle resets
- Account restrictions or closure
